Sweet and tart, with the characteristic Croccantini crunch you love, this tasty recipe for crunchy apple tart is an easy autumn treat!

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp salt

Juice from 1/2 lemon

3 whole apples, cored, halved, and sliced (but not peeled)

1/4 cup chopped pecans

Optional: store-bought caramel for serving

  1. Place apple slices in a bowl, and add sugar, salt, and lemon juice.  Stir to combine, so all slices are evenly coated, and let sit for a few moments.
  2. Cover a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper, and lay out apple slices on sheet.  Bake apple slices at 425F for approx. 20 minutes, or until apples are soft and golden brown.
  3. Remove apples from oven, and let cool for 5 minutes.  Lay apples even on full-size Croccantini, then top with chopped pecans and caramel sauce (if desired), and serve immediately.
